"Il
Tocco proved to be the perfect environment for the England
Rugby players to relax during the Test Match week preparation
for the French game. The choices available and the quality
of the food was excellent. The attention of Il
Tocco's staff was first class.
The management table thoroughly enjoyed the Amarone !
The
typical Italian unhurried environment also allowed the management
and players, brought together for just 4 days, the opportunity
to feel at ease in one other's company and played no small
part in creating the winning mentality for Friday's match".

Dear
Lesley,
I’d
like to thank you and the team at Tocco d’Itallia for
the welcome we received and the great lunch on Saturday 9
June – please pass our thanks to the chef. This
was a perfect venue and atmosphere for the occasion. I hope
our reunion “crowd” was not too noisy for your
other guests. My
wife and I will be coming again for lunch when we are next
in town.

Dear Lesley and Glyn,
We wanted to thank you and your team for a fantastic
Reception held at Il Tocco after Sylvie and Dan’s wedding.
Lesley, you took all the usual worry of finding a venue/caterers/band/disco/flowers
etc. from us and people could not believe how relaxed we were
as a result!
Your attention to detail was superb. The décor was
lovely and the food absolutely mouthwatering – we had
comments from our guests saying that the dinner was the best
they had ever had at a wedding. Your chef had really excelled
himself. We were very impressed by your waiting team, nothing
was too much trouble and it was lovely at the end of the evening
to see them dancing too! It was totally different to the standard
“just another wedding” production line that many
other venues seem to offer. Everyone said what a really romantic
venue it was. The evening was totally perfect – balmy
weather – the band playing on the balcony – the
full moon shining on the weir – flowers everywhere and
just seeing everyone having such a marvelous time. The thank
you letters we have received have all been really enthusiastic
about Il Tocco and quite a few said that they couldn’t
wait to visit you again! Sylvie and Dan had a really lovely
Wedding Reception and we would thoroughly recommend you to
everyone.
Kindest regards,
John and Vivien Pender
Lesley,
Just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know what
an absolutely fabulous evening we all had on Friday night.
From the moment we arrived the service was second to none.
The food was out of this world and I had many many comments
to that effect during the evening and all through the rest
of the weekend and if that wasn't enough Andy McGowan (Robbie)
was brilliant and was commented on by many of my guests. One
of them even said that he thought he sang better than the
real Robbie. Even yesterday as I said good bye to them they
all said "Robbie was brilliant". Your staff were
all so friendly and courteous. In fact the whole evening was
perfect. I will be sending you an official letter of thanks
in the next few days but just wanted to let you know my feelings
asap. I will send you some pictures when I get them back from
the photographer if you want.
Thanks again.

We
recently visited Bath from Devon and didn't want to eat in
the hotel and was recommended to visit a restaurant called
Il Tocco d'Italia. I must say we had a fabulous evening with
superb food, I have never eaten food as good anywhere in Britain,
I have spent a lot of time in Italy and was most impressed
with dishes such as the tagliatelle with walnuts and cabbage.
Not only was the food fantastic but the service and the atmosphere
was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant
to anyone visiting Bath.

Dear All
we would like to write and thank you for such a wonderful
evening for our managers leaving party. The food was absolutely
wonderful and everybody thought your staff were delightful.
The restaurant has a lovely ambience and the situation was
perfect looking at the floodlit weir. Thankyou to for such
a clever table design it meant that everyone had lots of different
people to talk to.
We
look forward to visiting you again soon.

our next visit! Have
a great summer.

Hello,
I just wanted to send a huge thank you to you all at Il Tocco
for a wonderful evening on Saturday. We had so many comments
full of praise throughout the evening and the next morning.
I've let my colleagues know too about Il Tocco and so we will,
no doubt, be back with other groups!

Reference
for IL TOCCO D' ITALIA following a hugely successful surprise
70th Birthday Party for my father.
"On 29th January, a party of 53 people had a wonderfully
enjoyable evening in Il Tocco D'Italia. The planning had started
some 2 months before, and at all stages Lesley and Glyn were
very helpful and co-operative. The party (somehow!) remained
a total surprise, even after Lesley took our coats prior to
going upstairs, and the look on my father's face as he came
up the stairs was an absolute picture! There was plenty of
space to seat everyone in a 'continuous' table format that
allowed people to mingle and move before, during and after
the meal. The atmosphere was superb, although a totally different
'feel' could have been created should it have been needed;
as a 70th birthday party would suggest, the music wasn't overtly
obtrusive and we didn't require a cabaret act. However, should
one have been required, I have every faith that Il Tocco would
have organised a top quality act.
The food was sumptuous and plentiful - I don't think anyone
left feeling hungry by any means! Chef and his merry band
of helpers laid on a great 3 course feast, and dealt with
a couple of slightly 'picky' guests in a very courteous and
patient manner. The cake was very tasty (minus the 70 candles
of course!), as was the selection of cheeses and port. The
timings between the courses was perfect, but also allowed
people time to mingle briefly.
As the main instigator of the party, I have had many replies
from guests who have all commented on what a wonderful evening
they had, how much they enjoyed the food, the ambience and
setting of the restaurant, and that it was an absolute pleasure
to dine at the restaurant. No-one had dined at the restaurant
before, but many have stated that they would love to return
in the near future.
With all this in mind, I would heartily recommend the restaurant
to anyone considering a party venue for up to 70 people.
With best wishes to you and all at Il Tocco"
Matt
Dear
Sir,
My wife and I recently moved to Bath to take up new jobs at
the university. When we asked a number of colleagues where
we could go for a good meal in town, Il Tocco D'Italia was
mentioned numerous times. We took their advice and we weren't
disappointed. The food, service and ambiance were all top
of the charts. Thanks for a great night out in Bath. You'll
certainly see us again.
Best,
Jim

A
real treat, this is a brand new restaurant by the river. The
lunch special is incredible value for money, we had the largest
starter ever and the mains were even bigger. Pretty much the
only affordable restaurants we visited which impressed us
(and the mama too!). From Pulteney Bridge take the steps down
past the Puppet Theater cafe & then walk straight over
to the maze.
